Located in the scenic countryside of Wake Forest, NC, Fruit Hill Farm is a family-owned farm dedicated to breeding quality homestead goats. Our passion for these charming and versatile miniature dwarf goats drives us to breed goats that are not only beautiful but also healthy and productive.
We also raise free range chickens and often have available eggs.
Fruit Hill Farm was founded in 2020 by Ella and Greg Taylor. Ella - who had a long history of a love for animals - somehow convinced her London-borne husband to move to the country. They started with chickens and a garden, but quickly added mini goats. Over the years their knowledge and expertise has expanded, and with a commitment to ethical breeding practices and a desire to produce the best quality Nigerian Dwarf Goats they can, they continue to grow and shape their herd.
Our mission is to raise happy, healthy Nigerian Dwarf goats that excel in both form and function. We focus on breeding goats with excellent conformation, gentle temperaments, and high milk production. Our miniature dwarf goats are perfect for those looking to add quality genetics to their herd, enjoy fresh goat milk, or simply have a delightful pet.
Nigerian Dwarf dairy goats are known for their small size, friendly personalities, and impressive milk production. They are a wonderful choice for small farms and homesteads due to their manageable size and easygoing nature. Their milk is high in butterfat, making it ideal for cheese and soap making.
At Fruit Hill Farm, we take great pride in our meticulous breeding program. We carefully select breeding pairs based on health, temperament, conformation, and production in order to better both our stock and this breed of dwarf dairy goats. Our goats are registered with ADGA and AGS, and we look forward to participating in shows, LA, and milk testing in the near future.
The health and well-being of our goats are our top priorities. Our herd is tested yearly for CAE, Johne's, and CL, and has always tested negative. We provide them unlimited browse, hay, water, and free choice minerals at all times. Pregnant does, lactating does, and growing kids get supplemental grain.
